How we got started

Our company was started as a way to help me earn money while I took care of my mom after a bad automobile accident. I have an extensive background in retail. My mom was a customer service guru, and together we believed that we could offer consumers great products and great service! We also believed that when a customer chooses to spend their money with an organization they are entitled to excellent customer service. Thus Grand Gifts Galore Corporation was formed.

We both enjoyed the rewards and challenges of building a business, working with suppliers and most importantly serving consumers. Building this company has been quite a challenging journey. I have enjoyed helping the wonderful customers and working with the suppliers that we have met. We have been quite privileged to be able to play a small role in bringing a smile to someone’s face via the products that we offer.

In 2006, my mom/best friend was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer. I chose to put the company on hold (doing minimal work only) while I took care of her fulltime.  My mom lost her long courageous battle with colon cancer on June 11, 2009, and I really thought about shutting the company down because it has been a challenge to do this without her. However, when I was going through her things, I found a letter that she wrote, which listed her goals and among them was helping me turn this company into a big success! I feel a very special connection to this company and customers we serve because, I know how much my mom enjoyed helping them. Although they did not know what she was going through, when they had an inquiry, (via email or telephone) they helped to take her mind off the cancer battle.

Mission

My mission now is two-fold. I still plan to search around the globe for what I believe to be the best products and gifts, and bring them to our customers. I realize that without you, our customers, I have no business and therefore I am most appreciative that you choose to shop with my company! Secondly, in memory of my mom, I plan on turning this company into the big success she wanted it to be. By honoring her commitment to excellence in customer service and providing products that you would be proud to purchase or give as gifts.
